Matias Gomes
Matias Gomes has been a Portuguese language teacher for 18 years in public middle and senior high schools, and in the Academy of Theatre Arts (Oporto). He learned advanced Spanish and taught this language for two years. He taught Portuguese, Brazilian, and African literature classes at a university for senior citizens. Holder of a Master's Degree in Portuguese and Brazilian Literature, he attended a PhD programme in Medieval Literature for 3 years. As a translator and proofreader, he works with Portuguese, English, Spanish and French. He currently translates academic documents. He also translates literary and non-literary texts like articles, short stories, lyrics, subtitles for documentaries and parts of books.
