
Maruša Fakin
Maruša Fakin was born in 1991 in Ljubljana. She studied Spanish Language and Literature and Comparative Literature and Literary Theory. After finishing her Master’s degree in Hispanic studies , she started working as a fiction and non-fiction translator from Spanish and Portuguese to Slovenian. From 2018
to 2020 she worked for the Ibero-American Institute in Berlin on several academic projects. In the last two years , she has been working for a publishing house focused on personalised children’s books and as a copywriter for one of the renowned Slovenian companies. Currently, she is employed as a junior PR consultant in an agency. She writes texts and leads
projects while searching for opportunities in the literary translation world.
