Iolanda Vasile (1984) has a BA in Foreign Languages ( Japanese and Portuguese) from the University of Bucharest and is a PhD candidate in Postcolonial Studies and Global Citizenship and a Junior Researcher at the Centre for Social Studies at the University of Coimbra (Portugal). She is also a Portuguese Language Lecturer and Coordinator and Cultural Manager of 
the Camões Portuguese Language Centre at West University in Timișoara (RO). Ioland has been a translator and events curator and organiser for almost 10 years, trying to bridge the divide between the academic world, cultural professionals and the general public.
