Lara Potočnik is currently studying for an MA in Comparative Linguistics and Latin Philology. During her studies in Ljubljana , Vienna , Brașov, and Iași, 
she has studied several Indo-European languages and developed a particular interest in the evolution of Romance languages , which – in addition to travelling to Romania and attending Romanian language classes 
– inspired her to start translating Romanian literature. She is an active and award-winning contributor to Întâlnirile Internaţionale ale Revistei Familia , Lucian Blaga Colloquium and TRADUKI and her translations 
and etymology research have been published in the monographs Drobci iz romunske književnosti, Áva rohatiy aviká ná súryah and Sodraških 800.
