Lara Carrión (1992) is a young Spanish translator specialised in English and Portuguese. She has a Bachelor's degree in Translation and Interpreting from the University of Granada, and a Master's degree in Editorial Translation from the University of Murcia. She has been awarded several international mobility grants (Portugal and Australia), as well as research prizes for her degree and Master’s final dissertations, which both dealt with the difficulties of translating orality and neologisms in postcolonial Subsaharan Literature. Lara is currently living in Reading, where she works as a Translation Coordinator, while occasionally freelancing.
