Corina Oproae (1873) was born in Făgăraş. She graduated from the Faculty of English and Spanish Philology at Babeş-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca. She writes poetry in Spanish, translates literary works from Romanian and English into Catalan and Spanish and she is an English teacher at a high school in Catalonia. She had her literary debut in the literary review Tribuna in 1996 and she published regularly in the literary review Echinox. In 2016 she published her first poetry book in Spanish, A thousand and one death (Mil y una muertes, La Garúa Publishing House).
