Virginia Popović is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Novi Sad. She studied Philosophy and Romanian Studies at the University of Novi Sad and graduated with an MA (2008) and PhD (2012) in Romanian literature. She has published five books about Romanian literature from Serbia’s Vojvodina region and a doctoral thesis about the poetry of Ion Barbu. As well as being a qualified court translator from Romanian into Serbian, she has participated in numerous national and international scientific conferences and is the author of numerous scientific and research articles , as well as the translator of three books of poetry.
