Sara Latorre
I grew up in a small village in northern Italy where there were few positive inputs for young people. I’ve always loved literature because it put me in contact with lives that were so distant and different from my own. I believe in the power of literature, which is to connect people and to get them to know and understand each other’s experiences. My passion for Dostoevsky and the novel The Bridge on the Drina by Ivo Andrić led me down the path to studying translation from Russian and Serbo-Croatian, with translation being the most profound way possible to experience literature.
