Joep Harmsen
Joep Harmsen (1993) is a literary translator (Spanish to Dutch) and editor. He has a double Bachelor’s degree in Literary Studies and Spanish Language & Culture and a double Master’s degree in Translation Studies
and Book Editing & Publishing, all from the University of Amsterdam. Madrid and Mexico City are his two favourite cities in the world and he has spent time in both capitals over the course of his studies. Joep has translated four books from Spanish to Dutch, the most recent being a translation of Brenda Navarro’s novel Casas vacías published in March 2020 by Borgerhoff & Lamberigts. He also works as the copy editor of 360 Magazine, a Dutch news publication that curates and translates international journalism for a Dutch audience.
