Irena Selaković is a lecturer in Spanish language and linguistics at the Department of Hispanic Studies at the Faculty of Philology and Arts at University of Kragujevac. She is a PhD student in Philology (language module). Her primary interests lie in the fields of Spanish language teaching methodology, phraseology, translation, and Hispanic cinematography.

After a two-year study stay in Spain as an Erasmus scholarship holder, she co-founded the group ŠpañOLÉo with her colleagues from the Department of Hispanic Studies, aiming to promote and develop Spanish language and culture through gathering students and other interested individuals. She finds inspiration for her work in photography, travel, and meeting new people and cultures.
