Paola Pappalardo

Paola Pappalardo (2001) was born in Catania and grew up in a bilingual environment, her mother being Polish. She later moved to Turin for university, where she completed a bachelor’s degree in Language Mediation, focusing on Polish and Russian. She is currently pursuing two master’s degrees: one in European Studies and another in Translation, specialising in Polish and Russian.

Passionate about languages and fostering cultural connections, her BA thesis explored the works of Tadeusz Różewicz and his relationship with Italy. She is also actively involved in Polski Kot, a Turin-based association that aims to promote Slavic cultures to the Italian public. She has provided Polish–Italian interpretation at various cultural and literary festivals, and has long dabbled in written translations.
