Born in 1986 in Bucharest , Cristina Vremeș now lives in Paris. Her debut novel, Trilogia sexului rătăcitor (The Trilogy of the Wandering Sex), was published by Humanitas (Bucharest , 2019). The book was awarded several literary prizes (Sofia Nădejde, Filiala București-Proză a Uniunii Scriitorilor) and nominations. She studied at UCL and Cambridge University, where she read History of Art and Philosophy. Currently, she is working on Pomegranate, a novel that explores femininity, the polyphonic physiognomy of inner life, loss and the search for identity.
