Věra Böhmová
Věra Böhmová studied South Slavic languages, literature, and history at Masaryk University in Brno. She spent several years working in Serbia with the Czech development cooperation, where she organised numerous exchange programmes in the fields of culture and education. She has experience interpreting at cultural events, film screenings, business meetings, and training sessions. Currently, she works as a court translator. Věra has published a number of book reviews and translations of excerpts from Serbian authors in literary journals, primarily Literární noviny and Host (including excerpts from texts by Milorad Pavić, who remains her favorite Serbian author). Her translation of Aleksandra Cimpl's novel Morana was published in 2018.
