Sara Micello was born in Southern Italy in 1992. After graduating with a degree in Literature, Publishing and Journalism from the University of Salerno, she studied an MA at Scuola Holden, where she currently 
works. She has collaborated with Salone Internazionale del Libro in Turin, tutoring high school students for meetings with writers at the event , and has taught creative writing to the inmates of Lorusso e Cotugno 
Prison in Turin, of which she has said she remembers the long journey and sometimes she can still feel the concrete on her skin. Some of her short stories have appeared in Italian literary magazines and she is currently working on her first book, Dizionario del Detenuto.
