Sara Hočevar Mucić (1996) was born in Ljubljana, Slovenia. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Comparative Literature and a master’s degree in English and Polish Studies. Her main interests include literary translation, stylistics, 20th- and 21st-century poetry and prose, and queer literature. Her working languages are Slovenian, Polish, and English, having primarily translated poetry and short stories for online and print publications. She also co-translated Tomaž Šalamun’s poetry collection In povsod je bil sneg / And all around there was snow (2021).
She previously worked at the Polish Embassy in Ljubljana and interned at an academic publishing house in Krakow. Sara currently lives in Krakow, working as a technical editor while also pursuing various translation projects.
