Katarzyna Ulma-Lechner is a graduate in Linguistics from the University of Warsaw and in Intercultural Competencies from the DU University Krems. 
Her specialisation is cultural studies of the Portuguese and Spanish speaking worlds and she has post- graduate degrees from the University Castellón de 
la Plana (ES) and the University of Coimbra (PT). After years of experience as a lecturer and translator/ interpreter for various embassies in Vienna and Lisbon and a number of years spent in Portugal, since 2016 she has been working mainly as a literary translator (PT, ES, PL) and organiser of cultural events , living between Kraków and Vienna.
