Aleksandra Lipczak is a Polish freelance journalist and an author. In 2017 she published her first non-fiction book , Ludzie z Placu Słońca (People from the Sun Square), a collection of stories about contemporary Spain and the financial crisis of 2008, which was nominated for the Witold Gombrowicz Literary Prize for debut authors. She is currently working on her second book, which will focus on Al-Andalus and the echoes of the Islamic past in today’s Spain and Europe.
