Between 2009 y 2010, Alejandro was chosen for the Schorlarship’s Fundación Antonio Gala for young artists. In 2012, La noche en que caemos (Ediciones Eolas), his first book, won the Prize Fundación Monteleón for The Best Short Story Book. In 2015 he was finalist in the Nadal Prize for his novel He aquí un caballo blanco. In 2016 he was chosen for the program of residencies Cité Internationale des arts, in Paris. In 2017 El estado natural de las cosas (Random House Mondadori) won the Premio Hispanoamericano Gabriel García Márquez. In 2019 he published Caballo sea la noche (Editorial Candaya).
