Alejandro Morellón (1985) is a Spanish writer who grew up in Palma de Mallorca. He is the author of the short story collections La noche en que caemos (Fundación Monteleón Prize), El estado natural de las cosas (Gabriel García Márquez Hispano-American Short Story Prize), El peor escenario posible (Ignacio Aldecoa Prize), the novel Caballo sea la noche and the mystic poetry collection Un dios extranjero (San Juan de la 
Cruz International Mystic Poetry Prize). Currently living in Madrid , in 2019 he was included in a list of the Best Young Spanish-Language Novelists by the 
literary magazine Granta.
