Born in Ljubljana where she also spent her childhood and most of her adult life, with the exception of frequent travels. She graduated from French language and literature and journalism and worked as a newspaper journalist for more than a decade. In 2016 she published her first book, a collection of short stories titled Things You Can't Tell Your Hairdresser. Followed a collection of travelogues and a novel. A new collection of short stories is due to be published in spring 2020. Agata's style of writing is caracterised by rich vocabulary, flamboyant sense of humour and cynical twists. She works as a science communicator for the Slovene Academy of Sciences and Arts Research Centre.
