Teresa Benítez is a translator from English, Polish, French, and Portuguese into Spanish. She holds a degree in Journalism from the University of Sevilla and in Translation and Interpreting from the University of Granada. She has lived in the Netherlands, Colombia, and Poland, where she completed a postgraduate degree in Polish Language and Culture and worked as a Spanish teacher at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków.
She has been working as an “all-rounder” copywriter and translator since 2014, combining technical and audiovisual translation projects with literary translation. She has translated several graphic novels, short stories, novels and essays, cultivating genres such as fiction, erotica, and epistolary. She is the Spanish voice of Kornel Filipowicz.
In 2024, the Polish Book Institute awarded her a scholarship for a one-month stay at the Residence for Translators in Kraków, where she carried out research on Polish contemporary literary non-fiction.
