Montse Sánchez Alonso is a writer born in Madrid. She graduated from the thirteenth cohort of the Master’s Degree in Narrative at Escuela de Escritores, where she currently teaches Creative Writing. She was the winner of the literary competition 200 Pulsaciones. Her professional background includes work as a literary assistant and as a mental health researcher at a hospital in Madrid.

El hielo de los suyos, her first novel, was selected by El Mundo newspaper as one of the twenty best novels written in Spanish in 2025 and is currently being translated into French. Through writing, Montse explores the complexity of power relationships among human beings and between humanity and nature.
