I was born in 1998 in Belgrade. In my early years, I struggled with foreign languages, but everything changed when I entered the Faculty of Philology at the University of Belgrade. Unexpectedly, I chose to study Polish as a foreign language, while focusing mainly on Serbian and South Slavic literatures. Together with a group of colleagues, I translated Natalka Suszczyńska’s story Based on a true story, which was published in Serbian in a special edition of the literary magazine Mostovi. Last year, I independently translated the book Borderland. On Reviving Culture by Łukasz Galusek and Dorota Sieroń, a publication supported by the Polish Institute in Belgrade.
I believe that the craft of translation is the most beautiful and noble combination of my two great passions – literature and the Polish language – and I feel honored each time I have the opportunity to participate in such a project.
