Marta Hermanowicz

Marta Hermanowicz (1982) is a writer and a professional in the advertising industry. In March 2024, her debut novel, Koniec, was published by ArtRage. The book made a significant impact, resonating with both critics and readers, and was included in the annual catalogue New Books from Poland, issued by the Polish Book Institute to promote Polish literature abroad. The success of the novel led to invitations to prestigious literary events, including the Conrad Festival, Literacki Sopot, and the 46th Radom Literary Spring.

She won the main prize at the 11th International Short Story Festival in 2015, and the literary competition Nic nie jest tym, czym jest (Nothing Is What It Seems), organised as part of the Góry Literatury Festival, in 2020. Her texts have been published in Twórczość, Pismo, Czas Literatury, Fabularie and Polityka.

Marta graduated in political science from the University of Szczecin and completed studies at the Tadeusz Gadacz School of Philosophy, as well as in art history at ISP PAN and Collegium Civitas.
