
Marco Vidal González (1995) was born in Sanlucar de Barameda. He graduated in Slavic Philology from the University of Granada and specialised in Bulgarian at the University of Veliko Tarnovo and Sofia University. In 2023, he was awarded the Bulgarian Peroto award in the category of Translation from Bulgarian into a foreign language for his contribution to poetry translations in Spanish. He has translated Bulgarian poets like Amelia Licheva, Alexander Shurbanov, and Kiril Vasilev, and is currently working on the translation of contemporary Bulgarian prose by authors including Rene Karabash, Nataliya Deleva, Yordanka Beleva, Yordan Slaveykov, Georgi Raychev, and Alexander Vutimski. After living abroad for 6 years in Bulgaria, Uzbekistan, and Latvia, he moved definitively to Madrid in 2023, where he maintains his connection with Bulgarian literature by translating its authors into Spanish.
