Lysanne Aarsman (b. 1993, NL) developed a love of languages at an early age. It led her to pursue a bachelor’s in Russian and Slavic studies (Russian and Czech) at the University of Amsterdam, where she is about to complete a master’s in translation (linguistics), specializing in Czech. Her first publication, a translated excerpt from Studené Slunce by Jiří Mucha, appeared in the journal Tijdschrift voor Slavische Literatuur.
