Lisa Weeda (1989) is a hybrid multi-immersive-media writer and artist. In 2021, her bestseller debut novel Aleksandra was published. The moving, magic-realist history of Lisa Weeda’s Ukrainian family has gripped readers throughout the Netherlands , with a German translation on the way. Aleksandra has been nominated for the renowned Libris Literatuur Prijs and Lisa was declared Dutch national newspaper’s de Volkskrant’s literary talent of 2022. Lisa also directed and wrote the screenplay of the room-scale virtual reality documentary ROZSYPNE (STUDIO ZZZAP, 2019), a work that was
nominated in the 2019 IDFA DocLab Competition for Immersive Non-Fiction. She teaches Writing for VR, Zine-making and Transmedia at ArtEZ University of the Arts and creates literary programmes for the literary festival Mooie Woorden in her hometown of Utrecht.
