Larysa Dobra (1971) has been living in the Netherlands since 2010. She obtained her Doctor of Medicine diploma at Ivano-Frankivsk medical university, and later earned an international PhD. Her first experience in translation came from working with specialised medical literature, followed by children’s books, short stories, and administrative and social texts.

In 2022, she began working as an interpreter from Dutch to Ukrainian and vice versa, having completed her studies at ITV University of Applied Sciences in Utrecht. She also participated in a course on Ukrainian as a foreign language at Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, and has worked as a language teacher supporting Dzherelo, the Ukrainian cultural centre in Amsterdam.
