Klára Němcová is Czech translator, who started her journey with the Dutch language in 2019 at the Masaryk University in Brno. During her studies she fell in love with literary translation. Languages and literature have always been her passion, which naturally led to a master's degree in translation. She was able to pursue part of her studies at the University of Leiden in the Netherlands, and to participate in numerous translation courses, workshops and projects in places such as Vienna and Wroclaw. Klára likes a challenge, and she also tried her luck in a translation competition. In 2024, she received an honorable mention for her translation of 12 poems by the Flemish writer Bart Moeyeart. In addition to translating, she actively works with the Dutch language at an international IT company.
