Katarina Mitić (1992) is a translator from Serbo-Croatian into Italian. Born in Serbia and raised in Italy, she has always lived in the space between two cultures–a place where she feels truly at home. Passionate about writing, languages, and poetry, she earned a degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures from the University of Trieste and later specialised in Literary Translation at the University of Turin.
Today, she lives in Italy, where she combines her work as a freelance translator with teaching French at high school level. Since 2023, she has also been collaborating with the University of Turin where she manages a translation workshop from Serbo-Croatian. Through her work, she hopes to contribute to the promotion of her home country’s literature and culture, sharing its beauty with a wider audience.
