Julija Lukovnjak (2000) is a writer currently based in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Her debut fantasy novel for adults and young adults, Imaginarni svetovi Edgarja Kaosa, was published in 2021, followed by its sequel, Svet je senca (Edgarja Kaosa) in 2023, which received The Golden Pear national award for best books for youth.

In 2022, Julija graduated in philosophy and comparative literature. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Philosophy in Ljubljana, working in a bookstore, hosting book clubs, and writing her third novel. She likes various forms of art, coffee, sport, animals, and spending time with friends.
