Joanna Ostrowska (1984) was born in Warsaw. She graduated in Ibero-American Language and Culture Studies from the Warsaw University and completed two postgraduate master degrees: in Teaching of Polish as a Foreign Language and in European Union. While at college, she started collaborating with Polish publishing houses as translator of Spanish and Latin-American literature. Her portfolio of translated novels includes authors such as Isabel Allende, Ildefonso Falcones, Víctor del Árbol and Eva García Sáenz de Urturi. She is member of the Polish Literary Translators Association, and is currently living and working in Brussels.
