
Giorgia Spadoni (1996) is a translator, interpreter and literary scout. She holds a master’s degree in Translation and Editing from Sofia University. Her first literary translation from Bulgarian into Italian – Circo Bulgaria by Deyan Enev (Bottega Errante Edizioni, 2023) – was twice longlisted for the Bulgarian literary award Peroto and won the Polski Kot prize in 2024. She is the author of the literary guide in Italian language A Sofia con Georgi Gospodinov (Giulio Perrone Editore, 2025). She has written several articles, translations, reviews and interviews for Italian websites focused on current events, history and culture of Eastern Europe, among which Meridiano 13. Since 2024 she has also been working as a tour leader in the Balkan region. In addition to literary translation, she is active in film translation and interpreting for literary events and festivals, frequently translating for Georgi Gospodinov.
