Giorgia Spadoni is a translator, interpreter, author, and literary scout. She holds a master’s degree in Translation and Editing from Sofia University. In 2023 she was shortlisted for the Bulgarian Peroto award for translation, and in 2024 she won the Polski Kot award for her Italian translation of Circo Bulgaria, a short story collection by Deyan Enev. She has written several articles, reviews, and interviews for Italian and Bulgarian media, focusing on current events, history, and culture from Eastern Europe. Giorgia is also one of the founders of the Italian cultural association Meridiano 13. In addition to literary translation, she is also active in film translation and interpreting at literary events and festivals, frequently translating for Georgi Gospodinov. She also works as a tour leader in the Balkan region.
