Eliška Beranová (1994) is a European writer and poet. In 2021, she published the novel Chlapec s rybí hlavou (Fish-Headed boy), which captivated readers across generations with its depiction of the unique atmosphere of a small, unnamed Czech town. The book also received recognition among the literary critics, being nominated for the 2022 Magnesia Litera award in the debut category. This was followed by the release of 1° in 2022, a collection of prose poems about the relationship between humankind and nature during the climate crisis, and the prose Sbírání borůvek (Picking Blueberries) in 2023 on intergenerational love and the acceptance of fear regarding one's own mortality.
