
Claudia Bettiol (1986) holds a master’s degree in Translation and Slavic studies from the University of Udine (Italy) and the University of Tartu (Estonia). She worked as a project manager at a translation agency in Lyon (France) for four years before moving to Ukraine. Since 2018, she has been working as a copywriter, translator, and Italian teacher in Kyiv. Falling in love with Ukrainian culture and literature, Claudia translated her first literary book from Ukrainian into Italian in 2022: Naši inši by Olesya Yaremchuk, published as Mosaico Ucraina by Bottega Errante Edizioni. She has also translated reportages and articles by Ukrainian writers, including Serhiy Zhadan, Andriy Lyubka, Svitlana Oslavska, and Myroslav Laiuk for various Italian outlets. At the moment, she is working on the translation of Eugenia Kuznetsova's best-seller, Spytayte Miyechku. Passionate about both literature and journalism, she is a founding member of the multimedia project Meridiano 13.
