Barbora Genserová studied Czech and German language and literature at Charles University’s Faculty of Arts in Prague. During her bachelor’s degree, she took up Dutch studies and her first translations followed soon after. Barbora translated parts of a college textbook on German literary history, and of a book about Jan Amos Comenius. Together with her colleagues, she translated the short story In de rij voor de nachtboot by Saskia de Coster. She is passionate about linguistics and studying, teaching, and translation of Germanic languages.
