Barbara Pavetto

Barbara Pavetto (1986) is a literary translator and educator based in Turin. She studied Foreign Languages and Literatures at the University of Turin, specialising in English and Romanian literature. Following her passion for bridging cultural perspectives, she pursued a PhD in Digital Humanities at the University of Genoa. Her doctoral research combined innovative digital quantitative analysis with traditional literary critique to explore the poetic works of Lucian Blaga, aiming to expand upon previous interpretations of his work through a blend of objective data and close reading techniques.

Barbara has translated several literary and theatrical works from Romanian into Italian, bringing the voices of notable authors such as Gheorghe Săsărman, Gabriel Pintilei, and Norman Manea to Italian readers. In addition to her translation work, she is also an experienced ESL teacher, sharing her love for language with students in Turin.
