Artur Dron is a writer and a veteran of the Russian-Ukrainian war. He is the author of the poetry collections Гуртожиток №6 (Dormitory No. 6, 2020) and Ми були тут (We Were Here, 2023), as well as the short prose book Гемінґвей нічого не знає (Hemingway Knows Nothing, 2025). His poems have been translated into ten languages.
We Were Here has been published in Sweden, Norway, and the United Kingdom, and is currently being prepared for publication in several other countries. In 2024, this poetry collection was nominated by the Ukrainian PEN Club for the Shevchenko National Prize.
Artur served as an infantryman in the 125th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade from spring 2022. In the fall of 2024, he sustained a severe injury and has since undergone treatment and rehabilitation.
