Alina Petryk

Born in 1987 in Lviv, Ukraine, Alina Petryk moved to Spain at the age of 14. She earned a degree in Translation and Interpreting from the University of Murcia and began her career as a legal translator, working with Ukrainian and Russian into Spanish for five years. Afterward, she pursued her passion for writing, contributing to eldiario.es, Pikara Magazine, and her digital project, The Flying Dog Magazine. Alina later joined Welocalize, a translation company based in Barcelona, where she worked for three years. In 2022, she collaborated as a translator on her first poetry anthology, featuring works by Ukrainian poets Halyna Kruk, Iryna Shuvalova, Myroslav Laiuk, Olesia Mamchich, Dmytro Lazutkin, and others (Instytut Literatury Kraków). In 2023, she contributed to the translation of the documentary The Soldiers of Tank 27 for El País.
