The Iași International Festival of Literature and Translation (FILIT) returns from October 21 to 25, 2026, turning the city for five days into a meeting point for writers, translators, publishers, critics and readers, with literary encounters, all-night poetry and music events, workshops, concerts and readings. The headliners of this year's international line-up are Paul Lynch, David Foenkinos, Parinoush Saniee and Aleksandar Hemon. They are joined by Elena Alexieva (Bulgaria), Éric Chacour (Canada), Yavuz Ekinci (Turkey), Milena Michiko Flašar (Austria), Ramon Gener (Spain), Dinçer Güçyeter (Germany), Hallgrímur Helgason (Iceland), Roskva Koritzinsky (Norway), Alexandre Lenot (France), Andriy Lyubka (Ukraine), Laura Pariani (Italy), Anna Sólyom (Hungary), Marek Torčík (Czech Republic), Hattie Williams (UK) and Gabriella Zalapì (Switzerland) and many many other relevant names.

Through the European CELA project for emerging talents, on the 23 rd and 24 th of October 2026 Małgorzata Żarów (Poland), Momchil Milanov (Bulgaria) and Davide Di Lorenzo (Italy) will also take the stage alongside their Romanian translators Oana-Andreea Stoe, Maria Andrei and George Doru Ivan. The Romanian CELA translators team, which also includes Andreea Bălteanu, Jessica Bilcec, Ilinca Gângă, Aleksandra Petrov, Andrei Săndulescu and Mădălina Balea, will meet the public at a translation café and take part in a series of workshops led by professionals from the ArtLit association.

A strong Romanian program and a group of foreign translators of Romanian literature complete the edition, which is organized by the National Museum of Romanian Literature Iași with funding from the Iași County Council.
